The First Alert SA304LCN is a Lithium battery powered ionization smoke and fire alarm that includes an escape light that illuminates a path for safety when the alarm sounds. The escape light is super bright so it can illuminate a path through thick smoke. With the First Alert SA304LCN you can easy change the battery with the front access battery drawer that easily swings out so you can quickly replace the battery without having to deal with the hassle of removing the entire alarm from the ceiling. The First Alert SA304LCN also features a silence and test button.

This smoke alarm seems to work fine in test mode. I will wait and see. Light is bright enough for seeing in my hallway ! Great price, fast shipping.
